AMBASSADOR OF ROK PRESENTS LETTER OF CREDENCE
The newly accredited Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia, Mr. Chung Jae-nam presented his credentials to the President of Mongolia, Mr. Khaltmaagiin Battulga, on May 17th.
After accepting the letter of credence, President Battulga received Ambassador Chung Jae-nam for a bilateral meeting to discuss cooperation and regional growth and security.
Mentioning that cooperation between the nations is generally active, the President underlined it is important to intensify commercial and economic cooperation. He also expressed interest to establish a Business Council of Youth at the initiative of the Presidents of two countries. If implemented, it will become another platform for young people to exchange experiences in business and technology, he stated.
Ambassador Chung Jae-nam expressed happiness with his appointment to Mongolia and gratitude for the warm welcome, and pledged to put major effort to strengthening ties of the two countries. He conveyed that the President and Government of the Republic of Korea was grateful upon the receipt of the letter of President of Mongolia congratulating on the successful completion of the meeting of the leaders of ROK and DPRK. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary pledged to commit to the successful implementation of the President’s initiative on founding a Youth Business Council.
While wishing the Ambassador a success in his works, the President of Mongolia promised to collaborate with the embassy for the sake of consolidated and effective cooperation between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea.
