MEETING WITH MONGOLIAN AMBASSADORS TO EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

Following the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit held in Brussels, Belgium, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga met Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to European countries on October 20th.

President Battulga, at the beginning of the meeting, briefed the Ambassadors on the projects, programs, foreign policy priorities, and activities of the Office of the President and requested them to work towards mutually beneficial cooperation and developing foreign relations with economic content in their countries of residence.

The President and the Ambassadors exchanged views about Mongolia’s agriculture and tourism policies and presentation of projects and programs that were formulated in accordance with the policy documents. In particular, President Battulga said that it was necessary to work closely with and propose the projects to European countries with high technology owing to Mongolia’s need to process its agricultural raw materials, gain familiarity with the planned tourism projects, and adjust their works with the characteristics of their countries of residence.

President Battulga emphasized the practicality of the documents, projects, and programs presented to the Ambassadors and asked them to work diligently in the given directions as the Heads of State and Government pursue a “one-window” foreign policy.

The Ambassadors said that they had reached a common understanding after the question and answer session with the President during the meeting, while expressing their readiness to work towards short-term success.
