MEETING WITH DELEGATION OF THE ASSOCIATION OF LAWYERS OF RUSSIA
At the invitation of the Mongolian Bar Association, a 17-member delegation of the Association of Lawyers of Russia (ALRF) led by its Chairman Victor Blazheyev is working in Mongolia on June 22-27.
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga today received representatives of the delegation, including Victor Blazheyev, ALRF Chairman, Denis Novak, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation, Evgeniy Budyakov, Member of the Board and Chairman of the Commission on International Cooperation of the ALRF, Valery Petrov, Deputy Prosecutor General and Chief Military Prosecutor of the Russian Federation, and a judge of the Judicial Chamber on Economic Disputes of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, President Battulga remarked that the Russian Federation was making progress towards exposing and solving corruption cases and expressed his appreciation of the commencing cooperation between Mongolian lawyers and a team of Russian lawyers who have expertise in this area.
President Battulga also noted his reproving stance on the intricate and unacceptable issues surrounding corruption in the mining sector and money-laundering in Mongolia, while expressing his confidence that the Russian side will work closely with the Mongolian Bar Association and share its expertise.
