President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga has submitted an official letter about turning down a proposal of Prime Minister Jargaltulgyn Erdenebat.
The official letter reads, “I have looked through the official letter on “Submitting a Proposal”, numbered 1-115 issued on August 22, 2017 by You.
According to the letter, You are proposing to dismiss Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh from the position of the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia upon his own will, along with the attached draft resolution on running the matter by the State Great Khural”.
I, as embodiment of the unity of Mongolian people, view that the matter should be reviewed carefully, based on the information which was provided to me on the reason and conditions for which the official has requested dismissal from the position of a member of Cabinet and Deputy Prime Minister upon his own will.
As the request for dismissal by Deputy PM U.Khurelsukh is not attached in Your letter, a further discussion is not concurred in accordance with Section 2 of Article 39 of the Constitution of Mongolia and Section 4 of Article 12 of the Law on President of Mongolia.
Therefore, I would like to ask You to submit another proposal on further discussion on this matter, after You have attached his own request for dismissal from the position of a member of Cabinet and Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia.
Sincerely, Battulga Khaltmaa, President of Mongolia”.
