STATE SPECIAL SECURITY DEPARTMENT RECEIVES ORDER OF MILITARY MERIT
Upon the decree of President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga, the State Special Security Department was bestowed with the Red Banner Order of Military Merit on May 25.
In his decree, the President said, “On the occasion of the 2227th anniversary of Statehood of Mongolia, 812th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, 107th anniversary of Restoring the National Freedom and Independence, 97th anniversary of the People’s Revolution, 29th anniversary of the Democratic Revolution and 97th anniversary of the Mongolian Armed Forces – Mongolian Soldiers’ Day, I hereby present the Order of the Military Merit to the State Special Security Department, in recognition of its honorable service to the country and contribution of its personnel in ensuring national security and consistency of state duties.”
The President also presented the title ‘State Honored Lawyer’ to senior officials of the State Special Security Department – Major General Shagdariin Natsagdorj and Colonel Gombodoogiin Jargalsaikhan- in appreciation of their service to the country and the people and contribution to the growth of the Department.
Following the ceremony, President Battulga delivered a speech to the personnel of the State Special Security Department and congratulated them on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Department.
The President said, “The State Special Security Department is entrusted with the duty of protecting government organizations, officials, citizens, some activities, buildings and vehicles that are subject to the Law on State Special Security. Over the years, the Department has continuously delivered reliable, immediate and complex service of ensuring the security of high-level foreign delegation to Mongolia and international conferences and meetings hosted by Mongolia, having trained competent and highly-skilled personnel.
I am absolutely honored to be presenting the Order of Military Merit to the Department on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of modern State Special Security Department. This Order represents the high tribute paid by the Government of Mongolia to the rich tradition and proud history of upholding the state spirit and remaining loyal to the oath taken before the country and the people, and a responsibility for future efforts.
I am confident that the Department will build on its success, improve its professionalism and perform its lawful duty more responsibly.
