MEETING WITH FEKITAMOELOA KATOA ‘UTOIKAMANU
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the UN is organizing a meeting on the Best Practices in Corridor Development and Management for the Benefit of Landlocked Developing Countries and Transit Countries in Ulaanbaatar.
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received Fekitamoeloa Katoa ‘Utoikamanu, UN High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States, who arrived in Mongolia to attend the meeting.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the ways to overcome common barriers confronted by landlocked developing countries, including transport, a time-consuming and costly service in foreign trade, as well as dependency on transit countries.
