AMBASSADOR OF JAPAN PRESENTS HIS LETTER OF CREDENCE
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, Mr. Hiroyuki Kobayashi, presented his letter of credence to President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga today. In this regard, President Battulga received Ambassador Hiroyuki Kobayashi.
President Battulga stressed the fact that Mr. Kobayashi had been appointed in the Japanese diplomatic mission to Mongolia twice before, saying that his experience will play an important role in strengthening the Strategic Partnership between the two countries, as well as economic ties.
At the meeting, the President expressed interest in bilateral negotiations on the matter of coal export, given that the main area of Mongolia-Japan economic cooperation is linked to the ongoing railway infrastructure development in Mongolia, and the sides agreed to readdress this matter.
It was also mentioned that Mongolia will host the Children of Asia Games in 2020 following the Tokyo Summer Olympics, and the sides exchanged views on preparations for the sporting events and training of young athletes.
