HUNGARIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTS LETTER OF CREDENCE
Newly accredited Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary Borbala Anna Obrusánszky (Ph.D.) presented her credentials to President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga.
After the presentation, the President welcomed Ambassador Obrusánszky for a meeting.
During the meeting, the dignitaries discussed about the possibilities to broaden the scope of cooperation in sectors of arts and culture, education, sports, agriculture, water management and business, which was discussed during the online meeting between President Battulga and Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán, took place last month.
For instance, the President highlighted the significance of completing the project on expansion of “Biocombinat”, implemented jointly by the two countries, and informed the Hungarian Ambassador that the project on 1,000km irrigation pipeline along the railroad being built in the Gobi region is ready to commence implementation, with necessary studies completed.
They also exchanged views on introducing Mongolia to the Hungarian approaches to promoting the development of the arts and culture sector. The President and the Ambassador agreed on the importance of continuing the grant of Hungarian government scholarships to 200 Mongolian students each year, and to include more students taking up majors in the mentioned priority sectors for cooperation.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Mongolia Borbala Anna Obrusánszky expressed willingness to hold a follow-up meeting at an earliest convenience for further discussion of the above-mentioned issues, to put them into action.
Mongolia and Hungary are marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year. The events surrounding this milestone diplomatic anniversary were organized in consistency with the COVID-19 precautions.
