Turkish Ambassador Presents Credentials
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey Zafer Ates presented today his letter of credence to President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga.
President Battulga expressed his appreciation for the Ambassador’s appointment to Mongolia, as Zafer Ates is an experienced diplomat. The dignitaries exchanged views on the possibilities to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas of history, heritage, tourism and agriculture.
In turn, the Ambassador expressed his happiness with his new post as the head of diplomatic mission to Mongolia, with whom Turkey has a long-standing historic friendship. He also pledged his aspiration to put his best efforts to broaden the bilateral cooperation in tourism, trade, agriculture, heritage and historic studies, as well as to increasing the frequency of high-level exchanges.
President Battulga underlined the important role of the new direct flight route between Mongolia and Turkey in the tourism cooperation, and highlighted that there is a great potential in promoting the East Asia-Mongolia-Turkey route. The President promised the Ambassador that he will present some potential tourism projects on which the two countries can collaborate.
The head of state also asked the Ambassador to convey his warmest greetings to the President of the Republic of Turkey in response to the latter’s greetings.
