POLAR STAR ORDER PRESENTED TO AMBASSADOR OF RUSSIA
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga has issued a decree on conferral of the Polar Star Order upon Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation I.K.Azizov. The Order was presented by the President, today, in the State Palace.
“In recognition of his contribution made to broadening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic ties, a highest state honor, the Polar Star Order shall be conferred upon H.E. Mr. Iskander Kubarovich Azizov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia”, the presidential decree reads.
After presenting the order, the President congratulated Ambassador I.K.Azizov and applauded his invaluable contribution to the long-standing friendship and cooperation, since accepting his office in 2013.
President Battulga underlined the significance of expanding the bilateral cooperation to infrastructure developments, including constructions of railroads and gas pipelines.
The head of state also highlighted the possibility of development of transit corridor connecting Russia to China through Mongolia, subsequently, Asia to Europe, by extending the complete railway infrastructure from the five western provinces of Mongolia to Kyzyl and Abakan, and from eastern railway network to Bichigt Port.
