MEETING WITH FRANK-WALTER STEINMEIER, PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY
President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier is paying a State Visit to Mongolia on February 07-08 at the invitation of President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh.
On February 07, President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh and Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier held a meeting in the State Palace.
The two Heads of State commended that the Mongolia-Germany Comprehensive Partnership based on shared values of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law was expanding in politics, economy, trade, investment, culture, education, science, transport, archaeology, humanity, and other sectors.
President Khurelsukh expressed gratitude for Germany’s steadfast support in Mongolia’s transition to democracy and a market economy. Also, the President of Mongolia extended appreciation for the advancement of relations between the two countries to a Strategic Partnership, consolidating the successes and achievements of the past five decades of cooperation.
The Presidents discussed cooperating in the implementation of initiatives proposed by the two countries in the international arena, including contributing to global efforts to address challenges such as climate change, desertification, and environmental degradation.
