PRESIDENTS OF MONGOLIA AND GERMANY VISIT A NOMADIC FAMILY
During his State Visit to Mongolia, President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, with his spouse Elke Büdenbender, visited a Mongolian family in Tuv province to get acquainted with the nomadic lifestyle and the customs and traditions of the Lunar New Year on February 08.
President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh presented a camel to Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and a camel calf to First Lady Elke Büdenbender.
Federal President Steinmeier was presented with a foal when he visited Mongolia as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2014, and now the stallion is in Bulgan soum, Dornod aimag.
The State Visit concluded on the same day as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Batmunkh Battsetseg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Helmut Kulitz, and other officials saw off Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and other delegates at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar.
