MEETING WITH THE VICE FOREIGN MINISTER OF THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF KOREA
President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh received Vice Foreign Minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Pak Myong Ho on March 11, 2024.
President Khurelsukh noted the consistent development of historical traditional friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which were founded by successive state and government leaders of the two countries.
Highlighting the fact that 2023 marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries as well as the 35th anniversary of the Visit by DPRK’s Former President Kim Il Sung to Mongolia, President Khurelsukh requested Vice Foreign Minister Pak Myong Ho to convey his greetings to General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs Kim Jong Un.
At the outset of the meeting, the Vice Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs Kim Jong Un to President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh. Also, Vice Foreign Minister Pak Myong Ho expressed gratitude towards the warm welcome by Mongolia, a country with which the DPRK shares traditional friendly relations.
Mr. Pak Myong Ho emphasized that the Government of the DPRK would maintain friendly relations with Mongolia and work closely to expand and develop cooperation between the two countries meeting the interests of the people of the two countries and the conditions of the new era.
The two sides exchanged views on reviving post-pandemic relations and stimulating cooperation in education, culture, art, sports, agriculture, health, and humanity.
