COOPERATION DOCUMENTS SIGNED BETWEEN MONGOLIA AND LAOS
At the invitation of President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith is paying a State Visit to Mongolia on June 11-12, 2024.
During the State Visit of President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LPDR) in November of 2023, the two sides signed three Intergovernmental Agreements on Aviation Relations, Cooperation in Animal Quarantine, and Veterinary and Cooperation in Plant Quarantine and Protection as well as four documents on cooperation in tourism, in the protection of natural resources and environment and culture sector.
To ensure the realization of the above-mentioned intergovernmental agreements and expand the relations and cooperation between the two countries, during the State Visit of President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith, the following documents have been signed today.
MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF MONGOLIA AND THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF LPDR IN THE SECTOR OF HEALTH AND MEDICINE
The parties will expand and develop cooperation in the health and medicine sector, based on the priorities and needs in the health sector of their countries. In particular, knowledge and experience will be exchanged in the fields of diagnostic and therapeutic methods, surgery, and emergency care.
PROTOCOL BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF FOOD, AGRICULTURE AND LIGHT INDUSTRY OF MONGOLIA AND THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND FORESTRY ON THE EXPORT OF CATTLE, HORSE, SHEEP AND GOAT MEAT FROM MONGOLIA TO LPDR AND THE HYGIENE REQUIREMENTS FOR ANIMAL ORIGIN PRODUCTS
The two sides agreed and confirmed the form and conditions of the “International Veterinary Certificate for the Export of Sheep, Goat, and Horse Meat from Mongolia to LPDR, enabling meat export and expanding cooperation in the veterinary field. The document aims to ensure the implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement on Veterinary and Quarantine of Animals and Livestock established in 2023.
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON COOPERATION BETWEEN THE CIVIL SERVICE COUNCIL OF MONGOLIA AND THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF LPDR
Cooperation in the field of civil service reform will be developed by exchanging experience and information, organizing training, and conducting research.
