STATE PRIZE CONFERRED UPON HISTORICAL WORKS BY D.ULZIIBAATAR AND TS.SANCHIR
In accordance with Presidential decree, historian D.Ulziibaatar’s “The Mongolians” and “History of Independence” and Leader of Dispersed Mongolians NGO Ts.Sanchir’s “Art and Cultural Pieces of Ilkhanate” received the State Prize, on December 8. President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga presented the State Prize in the Ceremonial Ger of the State Palace.
According to the decree, the State Prize went to D.Ulziibaatar in high recognition of his audio books titled “The Mongolians” and “History of Independence” and their role to documenting history, improving young people’s historical knowledge, transmitting the love and care for their nation, promoting the true history and bringing it to the world.
Historian and Leader of Dispersed Mongolians NGO Ts.Sanchir was awarded the State Prize in recognition of 15 years of research which took her to travel through more than 300 cities and settlements of some 30 different countries, which currently occupy the then-Ilkhanate territory, and discovered and studied over 200 historical records, and of her invaluable contribution to introducing Mongolian history to the whole world. Compiling the research works, she has published her book titled “Art and Cultural Pieces of Ilkhanate” in Persian, English and Mongolian languages and Mongolian traditional script.
