After this, President Battulga received Mr. Galosfai Mihaly Matyas for a bilateral meeting and touched upon some important cooperation areas. The sides agreed to put the plans into action as soon as possible.
President Battulga shared that the dignitary has discussed the issue of renovation at Biocombinat factory, which has remained on the table of discussion for many years, with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban earlier last September during a working visit to HUngary.
On this meeting, the President talked about the stagnation of implementation of the USD 25 million assistance loan for the Project on Equipment Renovation of Biocombinat State-Owned Factory and wished to accertain the causes of failure to realize the loan procession, and the two sides agreed to immediately forward the above-mentioned project.
The project had been a subject of focus for President Battulga when he was the Minister for Industry and Agriculture. As a result, it will become an impetus to building multi-pillared economy, said the President. The recent spread of hoof-and-mouth disease in Ulaanbaatar city gives a clear signal of emergency, said President Battulga and urged to pay a site visit to Biocombinat and immediately commence the planning of the project implementation. He mentioned that J.Batzandan MP, head of the Mongolia-Hungary group in the State Great Khural will be cooperating in the project implementation.
The President also shared that he views that the first work to pursue for new Minister for Food, Agriculture and Light Industry should be the renovation of Biocombinat.
