Opening ceremony of the 37th World Congress of Poets took place today in the State Palace. President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga sent a message dedicated to the participants of this congress. The message was recited by the Presidential Advisor on Cultural and Religious Policy, Ms Ts.Khulan.
President Kh.Battulga said in this message:
“Dear friends!
I would like to convey my warm greetings to the distinguished guests, delegates and honorable poets.
The 37th World Congress of Poets, on the occasion of the World Poetry Days in Mongolia, and the International Danzanravjaa Poetry Festival, which are being held under a theme ‘The Wisdom of Nature and the Nature of the Human Soul’, is touching upon the precious connection between and co-existence of the environment, nature and human’s conscience. There is no better time to discuss this issue which faces the whole humanity today.
It is of utmost importance to let people know nature of the art of words and let them feel the divine powers of poetry in these times when all universal concepts about social growth are programmed and materials, capital manufacturing and technological advancements are prioritized as the decisive factors of human existence.
The high mission of purifying minds of the society, deepening humane side of cultural conscience and appealing the human actions to the sincere good deeds has been bestowed upon poetry, and poetry only.
The World Poetry Days has been observed worldwide since 2000, in accordance with a resolution issued during the 30th Session of the UNESCO General Conference.
In Mongolia, the librarian and cultural fields have been restored impressively in the recent years. Mongolian poetry, which has a rich heritage including the masterpieces starting from the ancient folk tales, the Secret History of the Mongols, heroic epics of Geser and Djangar, creations of D.Danzanravjaa, D.Natsagdorj and B.Yavuukhulan, is more than in level with the world masterpieces. We hope to have a chance to know each other very dearly, befriend each other by our art, translate each other’s pieces and encourage one another to engage in more creative initiations.
I would like to wish the best of success in organization of the 37th World Congress of Poets and poetry festival.
May you have newer inspirations, energy to thrive, and bravery to appeal the peoples into good deeds by your eternally truthful words.
