On August 2, the President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga welcomed General Director of the Independent Authority Against Corruption /IAAC/, Commissioner General Kh.Enkhjargal and General Prosecutor of Mongolia M.Enkh-Amgalan.
They discussed issues related with 60 billion tugrik corruption scandal and offshore account case which involved over 40 politicians and public servants. People’s attention has centered on these two cases and they are demanding immediate investigation.
President Battulga noted: “Public is still waiting for us to take appropriate measure and paying close attention to the President’s leadership in this case. Public expectation from the Presidential election was the future of this case. In order to intensify investigation, we need to cooperate with the international organizations. You have the authority and you are the people who in charge of leading the investigation. The President of Mongolia is ready to support”.
General Director of IAAC Kh.Enkhjargal and General Prosecutor M.Enkh-Amgalan said that a joint working group was set up and now they are ready to begin investigation.
