MEETING WITH YASUHISA SHIOZAKI, MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF JAPAN
Today, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received Japanese delegates led by Member of the House of Representatives Yasuhisa Shiozaki, who are visiting Mongolia to attend an exhibition titled Judag, held in dedication to the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Yasuhisa Shiozaki thanked President Battulga for the audience, and expressed sincere gratitude to the people of Mongolia for extending their condolences and sending humanitarian assistance for post-flood recovery in the western region of the country, even though Mongolia’s national festivity Naadam was taking place at the time.
In response, President Battulga remarked that the humanitarian assistance, although little in amount, is a sign of mutual respect and strong relations shared by the Governments and the people of Mongolia and Japan, noting that the two countries should work together more productively based on this relationship.
Moreover, Mr. Yasuhisa Shiozaki said that Mongolia was an important partner of Japan, and underlined his confidence that the meeting of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and President Battulga during the upcoming Eastern Economic Forum will further strengthen bilateral strategic partnership and cooperation.
The sides exchanged views on topics such as agriculture, tourism, animal husbandry, and regional affairs, and discussed ways to cooperate on certain projects and utilize the combination of Japanese high technology and management.
