MEETING WITH WANG YI, STATE COUNCILOR AND MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF CHINA
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, in the State Palace today. The latter is paying an official visit to Mongolia at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Wang Yi conveyed the greetings of President Xi Jinping, while thanking President Battulga for the audience.
President Battulga reciprocated the greetings and communicated certain proposals on developing economically beneficial bilateral cooperation. President Battulga requested China to consider the matters of tax support in the export of agricultural products from Mongolia to the country and inclusion of Mongolia in infrastructure development connecting it with Russia. In connection to the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China, which will fall next year, the President expressed interest in celebrating the anniversary with concrete outcome.
For his part, Minister Wang Yi voiced his confidence that bilateral cooperation will develop productively in all sectors in the future, while expressing China’s interest in cooperating with Mongolia in the sectors of industry, agriculture, and railway.
The sides exchanged views on ways to develop fruitful bilateral cooperation in the coming years. President Battulga wished Minister Wang Yi success in his official visit to Mongolia.
