PRESIDENT: THE SIDES HAVE SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON ESTABLISHING A JOINT MECHANISM TO ADVANCE THE TRILATERAL ECONOMIC CORRIDOR
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga attended the 4th Eastern Economic Forum on September 11th-13th in Vladivostok, Russia.
On September 13th, President Battulga received Mongolian journalists who covered the Eastern Economic Forum and answered their questions.
On the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum, President Battulga held bilateral meetings with his Russian counterpart Vladimir V.Putin and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. The President also met Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Lee Nak-yeon and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. President Battulga delivered a speech at the extended session of the Eastern Economic Forum.
In his answer to a question on the outcome of the 4th Eastern Economic Forum for Mongolia, President Battulga noted, “The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Joint Mechanism to Advance the Development of the Economic Corridor was a step forward. Without such a mechanism, we only discussed and discussed. The corresponding bodies of the three countries signed the Memorandum, and it is a big step.”
The President answered questions regarding export of Mongolian-made agricultural products to China, the Northeast Asian Super Grid, use of the Vladivostok port, and the 2020 Children of Asia Games.
