TRIBUTE PAID TO STATUE OF CHINGGIS KHAAN
In accordance with a decree of the President of Mongolia issued on January 9th, 2012, the birth anniversary of Chinggis Khaan was decided to be marked on the first day of the first month of winter in lunar calendar based on a proposal from the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. The decree also ordered that the birth anniversary be named the National Pride Day and celebrated as a public holiday.
As such, the National Pride Day falls on different days every year, and today is the 856th Birth Anniversary of Chinggis Khaan–National Pride Day.
On the occasion of the 856th Birth Anniversary of Chinggis Khaan–National Pride Day, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga paid tribute to the Statue of Chinggis Khaan.
Present at the ceremony were, Chairman of the State Great Khural M.Enkhbold, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, recipients of the Order of Chinggis Khaan, and honorable guests.
