FRIENDSHIP MEDAL CONFERRED UPON RECTOR OF THE RUSSIAN STATE UNIVERSITY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION, SPORT, YOUTH, AND TOURISM
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued a decree on awarding Professor Tamara Mikhailova, Honored Coach of Russia and Rector of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth, and Tourism (SCOLIPE), with the Friendship Medal of Mongolia.
Chief of Staff to the President Z.Enkhbold conferred the medal today in the State Palace and received the professor in this regard.
Ms. Mikhailova has served as Rector of the SCOLIPE since 1993, and the alumni of the university include many Mongolian professionals who made invaluable contribution to the development of physical education and sports in Mongolia.
Chief of Staff Z.Enkhbold emphasized the educational, intellectual and scientific values of the contribution of these professionals to the development physical education and sports and expressed his confidence that the visit of the delegation of the SCOLIPE to Mongolia would open great opportunities for broadening bilateral cooperation in physical education and sports.
Chief of Staff Z.Enkhbold also made specific proposals and exchanged elaborate views on several matters, including paying close attention to the enrollment of Mongolian students in judo, tennis, athletics, and free-style wrestling programs of the university, sending the coaches of Mongolian national teams of judo, boxing, free-style wrestling, shooting, athletics, tennis, taekwondo and archery on short-term training courses, and cooperation between the Olympic academies of the two countries on providing Olympic education to the younger generation.
At the end of the meeting, Chief of Staff Z.Enkhbold expressed his confidence that the sides would cooperate on the Children of Asia Games, which will be held in Ulaanbaatar in 2020, and wished the Russian delegation success in their work.
