AMBASSADOR OF KAZAKHSTAN PRESENTS HIS LETTER OF CREDENCE
The newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia, Mr. Jalgas Adilbayev, presented his letter of credence to President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga today.
In this regard, President Battulga received Ambassador Adilbayev and congratulated him on the appointment.
At the meeting, the sides elaborated their views on the matter of boosting bilateral economic and investment relations and specified that agriculture, in particular meat export, was the most viable area for tangible cooperation that could produce solid outcome in the near future.
For instance, it is deemed possible to export meat directly from Bayan-Ulgii, Khovd, and Uvs Aimags of Mongolia to Kazakhstan as a detour via Ulaanbaatar, which is 2000 km away from these provinces, increases the transport cost and rate while reducing the profit of herders. President Battulga highlighted that this alternative of delivering halal meat and meat products to the markets of Muslim countries will play a central role in developing mutually beneficial commerce and economic ties. Ambassador Adilbayev expressed his willingness to work consistently towards putting this idea into action as it also represents a fruitful outcome to Kazakhstan, which is interested in agricultural cooperation with Mongolia.
President Battulga also remarked that the plan of conducting regular Ulaanbaatar-Nur-Sultan flights twice a week is an important proof of the developments in bilateral relations and requested the Ambassador to closely consider the matter of extending the route to New Delhi, the Republic of India, and contribute to the support of the Kazakh side.
During the meeting, the sides held an elaborate discussion on the cultural, religious, as well as people-to-people relations between the two countries. The meeting concluded as Ambassador Adilbayev pledged to work actively towards bringing bilateral relations to a new level and reflect the proposals and ideas expressed by President Battulga in his work.
