STATE PRIZE CONFERRED UPON 5 SONGS OF ROCK GROUP HARANGA
On the occasion of the 2228th anniversary of the Statehood, the 813th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, the 108th anniversary of Restoration of National Freedom and Independence, the 98th anniversary of the People’s Revolution, and the 30th anniversary of the Democratic Revolution, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued a decree on awarding the State Prize today.
The presidential decree says:
“The members of rock group Haranga, Ts.Enkhmanlai, Ts.Chuluunbat, Kh.Lkhagvasuren, Ya. Odsuren, and N.Purevdash, and author, poet S.Oyun SHALL be awarded with the State Prize for laying the foundation of and promoting rock music in Mongolia and making a significant contribution to the development of modern music in Mongolia by writing the songs “Tolin Khul”, melody by Ts.Chuluunbat and lyrics by G.Batkhuu, “Amidral”, melody and lyrics by Ts.Enkhmanlai, “Zuvkhun Mongoldoo”, melody by Ts.Chuluunbat and lyrics by B.Yavuukhulan, “Uguilen Sanana”, melody by Ts.Chuluunbat and lyrics by S.Oyun, and “Ene Bol Durlal Bish”, melody by Ya.Odsuren and lyrics by Ts.Enkhmanlai, which have been immortalized in the hearts of the Mongolian people.
