STATE ORDERS AND MEDALS CONFERRED UPON LIBERATION WAR VETERANS
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Liberation War, coinciding today, the President of Mongolia issued a decree on granting veterans state orders and medals.
Out of the Mongolian Revolutionary Army veterans who fought in the Liberation war, 78 veterans, all of whom are older than 94 years old, are alive and well. Some of those veterans solemnly received state orders and medals from the President at the ceremony held today at the Officers’ Palace.
The Presidential decree, issued in reference to Clause 7, Section 1, Paragraph 3 of the Constitution of Mongolia and Clause 1, Paragraph 15 of the Law on President of Mongolia, reads:
“…I hereby order the conferral of high-class state orders and medals upon the following veterans who had performed the noble deeds for the future generations by defending the independence and territorial immunity and keeping the oath before the homeland and the people”.
