PRESIDENT OF MONGOLIA PARTICIPATES IN THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM “INTERCONNECTION OF TIMES AND CIVILIZATIONS – BASIS OF PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT” AS AN HONORARY GUEST
As part of the State Visit to Turkmenistan, President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh participated as an Honorary Guest in the international forum “The Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – The Basis of Peace and Development” and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
The event was organized by the Government of Turkmenistan to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy. The forum was attended by Heads of State from Armenia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan as well as high-level delegations from Azerbaijan, Iraq and Turkey.
On the sidelines of the forum, President Khurelsukh exchanged views on bilateral relations and cooperation as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest with some Heads of State.
Researchers have noted that Magtymguly Pyragy’s works are based on ideas of national unity and friendship and emphasized his continued role in shaping patriotism and moral education among the younger generation.
In 2023, UNESCO passed a resolution to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy and included him in the “Memory of the World” register.
