Governor-General of Australia Samantha Mostyn arrives in Mongolia for a State Visit
At the invitation of President of Mongolia H.E. Mr. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, H.E. the Honourable Samantha Mostyn, accompanied by her spouse H.E. Mr. Simeon Beckett, has arrived in Mongolia for a State Visit.
Governor-General Samantha Mostyn, Mr. Simeon Beckett, and the accompanying delegation were welcomed and greeted by the Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mrs. B. Battsetseg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Australia Mr. D. Davaasuren, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Mongolia Mr. Leo Zeng, and other officials at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport.
As part of the visit, Governor-General Samantha Mostyn will hold official talks with the President U. Khurelsukh, visit and review Australian-funded and supported projects and programs being implemented in Mongolia, and engage with representatives of the business community.
This marks the first State Visit to Mongolia by a Governor-General of Australia since 1994.
