President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa to Address UN General Assembly
President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa is participating in the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Marking the 80th anniversary of the UN’s founding, this year’s Assembly is being held under the theme: “Better Together: 80 Years and more for peace, development and human rights”
President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa will take part in the General Debate on Tuesday afternoon, September 23, 2025, in New York and deliver a statement outlining Mongolia’s position on key international issues.
The President also plans to hold bilateral meetings with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and several heads of state.
The 80th session brings together leaders from 154 countries at the level of heads of state and government, underscoring its global significance.
Mongolia became the 101st full member of the United Nations in 1961. Established in 1945 in San Francisco, United States, with 51 founding members, the UN today comprises 193 member countries.
