MEMBERS OF PUBLIC COUNCIL UNDER INDEPENDENT AGENCY AGAINST CORRUPTION APPOINTED
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued a direction on appointing members of non-staff Public Council under the Independent Agency Against Corruption (IAAC), on August 28.
The non-staff council is formed every four years in accordance with a presidential decree, with 15 members and 4-year term, under a vision to activate the citizens’ participation in fight against corruption, voice their opinions more effectively and to provide consultation for implementation of law and regulations on corruption.
The presidential direction has been read out and handed to the Deputy Chairman of IAAC, Mr. Ts.Nyamdorj by the Chief of Staff of the Office of the President of Mongolia, Mr. Z.Enkhbold.
In pursuance to the direction of the President of Mongolia, the following officials were appointed as members of the non-staff council under IAAC:
1. Ankhnybayar Bilegsaikhan, advisor and lawyer at Legitimus NGO;
2. Baasan Geleg, advocate and a member of the Mongolian Lawyers Association;
3. Batsuuri Egeezed, member of Board of Directors of New Ulaanbaatar NGO;
4. Burmaa Radnaa, Member of Board of Directors of Academy of Political Education;
5. Byambatseren Erdenekhuu, Leader of “Narny Zon” Social Work –NGO;
6. Gankholog Batkhuyag, Member of Board of Directors of “Hamtyn Haluun Setgel” NGO;
7. Delgerbat Delger, “Altan Elch” NGO for legal assistance for families;
8. Munkhjargal Ishjamts, Leader of the Mongolian Union of Herders and Agricultural Manufacturers;
9. Orosoo Demberel, Member of Administrative Board of the Community of Legal Information and Research Coopertion;
10. Otgongerel Sodnom, Member of Administrative Board of Technics, Design and Sports Union;
11. Oyungerel Tsedevdamba, an author and Leader of “Nutgiin Shiidel San” NGO;
12. Purevbaatar Dashpurev, an advocate and member of the Mongolian Lawyers Association;
13. Saruul Agvaandorj, Director of Direct Democracy Institute NGO;
14. Tsoodol Oidov, Member of Administrative Board of the Mongolian Democratic Union;
15. Enkhbat Batchuluun, Member of Admnistrative Board of “Liberal House” Policy Research Institute.
Chief of Staff of the President’s Office Z.Enkhbold told the IAAC Deputy Chairman Ts.Nyamdorj that the Rule of Operations of the Public Council has been changed and instructed Ts.Nyamdorj and Z.Baasannyam, Head of Administrative Division of IAAC.
The Public Council held its first meeting and selected G.Baasan as head of the council on Tuesday.
