PRESIDENT BATTULGA WELCOMES SHEIKH SULTAN BIN KHALIFA AL NAHYAN OF UAE
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received Advisor to President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan on October 12.
Beginning the meeting, Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan conveyed the greetings of the President and Prime Minister of UAE to President of Mongolia.
President Battulga responded to the greetings with gratitude and expressed his aspiration to cooperation with UAE in “creation of oasis in the desert” by learning from Arabian countries’ practices of building cities among deserts. He stressed that Mongolia is an agricultural country. Therefore intensifying agricultural cooperation between the two countries is possible, he noted.
Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan said, “I have heard of unfortunate incidents about fatality of a large number of wildlife in some parts of Mongolia due to lack of drinking water. In prevention of that, we can assist you in building wells and in water supply. Investment opportunities await if the Government of Mongolia eliminates some tax barriers.”
The UAE Presidential advisor invited Mongolia to open its Embassy in UAE, while mentioning that UAE’s permanent diplomatic mission has been running operations in Mongolia.
President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga underlined his main focus on cooperation of Mongolia and UAE will be enriching the ties with economic contents and directing the cooperation to joint project that can help strengthen mutually beneficial partnership.
Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan expressed his full willingness to accept the cooperation proposals made by the President of Mongolia.
