AN ADJUNCT ADVISOR TO THE PRESIDENT RELIEVED FROM POSITION DUE TO HIS ASSOCIATION WITH THE SME DEVELOPMENT FUND

Adjunct Advisor to the President of Mongolia Ch.Ganbat submitted his resignation letter to Chief of Staff to the President Z.Enkhbold on November 13th.

Mongol Buidan LLC, owned by Ch.Ganbat, applied for a loan from the SME Development Fund in 2016 and received the loan in an amount corresponding to that of the collateral. The loan repayment is being made regularly. However, in the wake of the controversy surrounding members of the Parliament and the Cabinet and individuals associated to them who abused their power to obtain loan from the SME Development Fund, attempts are being made to neutralize the public demand for justice through the act of widely attributing the responsibility to others. Therefore, Ch.Ganbat submitted his resignation letter to block such unscrupulous acts.

The resignation letter was accepted, and Ch.Ganbat has been relieved from his position.

An Adjunct Advisor to the President of Mongolia doesn’t hold a paid position at the Office of the President and is not a civil servant.
