75 BABIES BORN ON THE NEW YEAR’S EVE NIGHT
On the first day of 2019, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga visited Orgoo Maternity Hospital, known as the First Maternity Hospital of Mongolia, to extend New Year greetings to the mothers who gave birth on the last night of 2018 and the hospital staff.
On the New Year’s Eve night, 13 mothers gave birth after midnight at the Orgoo Maternity Hospital whereas on the national level, 75 babies were welcomed, 39 of whom were boys and 36 were girls.
President Battulga met the mothers in post-labor care and wished them health and well-being, while asking Minister of Health D.Sarangerel to focus her efforts on the hospital environment and replacement of birthing beds with newer versions.
Director of the Orgoo Maternity Hospital G.Bayasgalan (MD) said, “In 2018, 11,800 mothers gave birth at our hospital. Last night, 35 mothers delivered babies. Since 8 o’clock in the morning, five mothers gave birth, and 13 mothers are in early labor. President Battulga conferred the Red Banner Order of Labor Merit upon the Orgoo Maternity Hospital on June 1st, 2018. During the ceremony, the President promised to make a personal donation of MNT 100 million to our hospital and delivered the promise last November. Mothers are going into labor on the birthing beds that were presented to us.” The Director thanked President Battulga for sharing the joy of the precious moments of the welcoming of newborn babies with the hospital staff.
