MEETING WITH DELEGATION OF THE URAL FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Chief of Staff to the President of Mongolia Z.Enkhbold received delegates of the Ural Federal University of the Russian Federation, including Rector Victor Koksharov and First Vice-Rector Sergey Kortov, who arrived in Mongolia within the framework of celebrations commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Battles of Khalkhin Gol.
The delegates discussed their work and priority directions of engaging the alumni of Russian universities, in particular the Ural Federal University, in occupational retraining and specialization programs. For instance, the delegates addressed the possibility as well as their readiness to implement an occupational training program for specialists, who graduated in Russia and who now work in major plants like the Thermal Power Plant IV, in light of the technological reforms and changes of recent times. Chief of Staff Z.Enkhbold expressed his agreement with this proposal and requested them to pay attention to certain issues, including the elimination of white dust from the waste produced by the Erdenet Mining Corporation, and assistance on finding a solution.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed the ways to cooperate within the Russky Mir Foundation on improving the Russian language proficiency of Mongolian students to study in Russia.
