CHIEF OF THE GENERAL STAFF OF THE MONGOLIAN ARMED FORCES PROMOTED

President of Mongolia and Commander-in-Chief of the Mongolian Armed Forces Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued a decree on awarding the rank of Major General to Chief of the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces, Brigadier General D.Ganzorig.

The award ceremony took place in Zuunbayan Soum of Dornogobi Aimag in the presence of military personnel and servicemen who are partaking in the ongoing railway infrastructure development works.

During the ceremony, President Battulga noted that he meant to “motivate the servicemen by awarding the military rank of Major General at the construction site in Zuunbayan,” while mentioning the fact that the 400 km rail line connecting Ulaanbaatar with Naushki town of the former Soviet Union was built within two years, between the years 1947 and 1949. Furthermore, the President said that the construction works of a rail line of the same length should conclude within the planned timeframe, given the technological advancements of modern times, and wished the personnel success.

President Battulga is visiting the Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan rail line construction site to gain familiarity with the progress.
