MEETING WITH SADYR JAPAROV, PRESIDENT OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC
President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, who is attending the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on July 3-4, 2024, in Astana, the Republic of Kazakhstan, met President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov on July 3, 2024.
President Khurelsukh stressed the State Visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Mongolia in 2023 deepened the relations between the two countries and strengthened the people’s friendship and partnership. Moreover, the Visit was significant for consolidating the friendly relationship between Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan, activating the high-level talks and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, noted the President of Mongolia.
The Presidents appreciated the intensification of cooperation between legislative institutions of the two countries and the successful and productive reciprocal official visits of the Speakers of the State Great Khural of Mongolia and the Chairman of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan /Jogorku Kenesh/ in 2024.
To deepen and strengthen the traditional friendly relations further, the Heads of the two States expressed their commitment to closely and actively cooperating in the defense, trade, economic, education, tourism, agriculture, light industry, transport, and logistics sectors.
The two sides commended the intensive progress of the establishment of the “Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan Friendship Garden” in Erdenet City, Mongolia, and the introduction of fruit and berry saplings from Kyrgyzstan, coordinating “One Billion Tree” National Campaign, implemented under the initiative of President of Mongolia and “Green Heritage” initiative of the Kyrgyz Republic.
