OFFICIAL WELCOMING CEREMONY HELD FOR THE KING AND QUEEN OF BHUTAN
At the invitation of President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of Bhutan is paying a State Visit to Mongolia on July 8-15, 2024.
President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh and First Lady Luvsandorj Bolortsetseg officially welcomed His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of Bhutan and Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck, Queen of Bhutan at the Sukhbaatar Square.
Upon a report of the Commander of the State Honor Guard, the National Anthems of the two countries were performed. After the two Heads of State paid tribute to the Nine White Banners, His Majesty King Jigme greeted the State Honor Guard.
The President of Mongolia and The King of Bhutan greeted the officials who attended the welcoming ceremony, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations in Mongolia.
Then, the two Heads of State paid tribute to the Statue of Great Emperor Chinggis Khaan. Following the Welcoming Ceremony, His Majesty King Jigme signed the Book of Honored Guests in the State Palace of Mongolia.
