President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, arrived in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on October 10, 2024, for a State Visit.

The current visit is of great importance as it is the first-ever State Visit by the Head of State of Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Turkmenistan on April 23, 1992.

The state visit will be significant in expanding the friendly relations between Mongolia and Turkmenistan as well as the Central Asian region, enriching cooperation with economic content, and strengthening the friendship between the people of Mongolia and Turkmenistan.

During the visit, several intergovernmental agreements and inter-institutional documents are expected to be signed, which will significantly contribute to further strengthening the legal foundation of bilateral relations.

It is worth noting that the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat is a city with a population of 1 million, featuring 543 buildings made of white marble. In 2013, it was registered in the Guinness Book of Records as the “City of White Marble”.

Currently, Ashgabat is home to 28 foreign Embassies and 15 representative offices of international organizations.
